Paul McCartney just revealed his video for the song "Early days" off his album New and it was nothing short from amazing!
The concept of putting his and Lennon's story in an alternative setting, being played by two African American boys was a risky one (that according to what I've read was not Paul's original plan), but it played out amazingly, focusing the story on the dynamic and friendship, instead of the people in the friendship, showing the true normality of what they had for each other, taking away the fairytale spin that people normally put on it. It was so well constructed that, despite this huge change, you could still perfect recognized John and Paul in the two boys, by their spot on interpretation of the dynamic (According to what I picture from all that I've read about them).
The song itself is already painfully beautiful, showing Paul's sensitivity towards the topic of his love for John and their friendship in such a pure and touching way and the clip only added to it. Showing a beautiful story in just a few minutes.
